This year, the Centre is looking for remote volunteers to help with outreach and promotion of our online programming.  If you are interested in volunteering, gaining valuable and marketable skills in such areas as event coordination, fundraising, public speaking, database management, networking, and social media, please read more and apply below!

This school year, The Centre will speak to over 70,000 students in communities across Canada, especially rural and remote ones. We will stop heterosexism, cissexism bullying and discrimination through workshops, presentations, conferences and youth initiatives that make a real difference in our community.

But we need your help…

This year we have taken a new approach by providing online programming across Canada and Turtle Island. As a result, we have new demands for programming, and your help will be more important than ever.

We are looking for individuals to help us with outreach, administration, fundraising, and more this year, as we adapt to our new online environment.  Are you looking to help out occasionally?  Join our informal volunteer team, who help out with short-term projects and event preparation.  It’s as easy as signing up for our volunteer list by filling out the application form below!

Are you looking for a formal volunteer placement as part of a school or other organizational initiative?  The CCGSD offers placements through partners such as universities, colleges, and non-profit organizations.  These placements can be full-time or part-time and may include academic credit where applicable.  If you are a member of a school or organization and have been approved for a placement, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at support@ccgsd-ccdgs.org and fill out the application form below.

Thank you for supporting us by volunteering.

We’ll be in touch soon!

If you are applying as part of a formal volunteer placement, you should also contact our Volunteer Coordinator directly at support@ccgsd-ccdgs.org.

If you are an organization looking to start a volunteer partnership…

We are always looking for more volunteer partners!  The CCGSD can provide opportunities for your organization’s students, staff or members to work with the community and gain valuable skills.  If you would like to set up a partnership to provide volunteer placements with the CCGSD, or learn more about our volunteer program, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at support@ccgsd-ccdgs.org.

If you are unable to volunteer, but you would like to help out…

Please consider donating!  You may make a one time or monthly donation with your credit card through Canada Helps, or through your local federated charities (ex. United Way).
