Our Impact in Numbers

CCGSD empowers and defends gender and sexually diverse communities through impactful education, research, and advocacy. The work we do is vitally important for the health and well-being of young people, and we are expanding our reach in exciting new ways every year.

Our Projects in Numbers: Part 1

Not Just The Tip (NJTT) is a multi-year project that aims to empower teachers, as well as health and social service providers, with the skills to approach sex ed in a queer- and trans affirming way. This project is part of our Comprehensive Sexuality Education Program.

Our Youth Network Project (YNP) is an initiative by the Intersectionality and Diversity program. YNP is focused on supporting queer and trans students through activities such as outreach to and networking with gay-straight alliances (GSAs), educational workshops and queer and trans Black, Indigenous, People of Colour (QTBIPOC) specific resourcing.

Our Projects in Numbers: Part 2

Our Gender-Based Violence Prevention project aims to strengthen practical skills and understanding among youth on ways to prevent and address the GBV they themselves and their peers experience.

Our Queer History program works to educate youth about 2SLGBTQIA+ Canadian history through storytelling, intergenerational connection, and centering diverse voices.
