Introducing GBVTeaching.com: A Teaching Resource

Educators and activists interested in reducing rates of gender-based violence through education are invited to use and contribute to the new website gbvteaching.com. The site includes a public component with teaching resources on a range of gender-based violence (GBV) issues and a private component where members can exchange ideas and resources they have developed with like-minded educators. The website emerges from the Time to Teach about Gender-Based Violence in Canada project, which seeks to enhance teaching and learning about GBV issues using official provincial curricula. If you have ideas or resources to share, please sign up by clicking the Log In at the top righthand corner of the website and become a member!

The Time to Teach project began with research led by Dr. Catherine Vanner, Assistant Professor of Educational Foundations at the University of Windsor, and Dr. Claudia Mitchell, James McGill Professor in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education at McGill University. It is guided by a project advisory group that includes representation from the Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity. For more information about the project or the website, please write to catherine.vanner@uwindsor.ca.
