During the month of April, the CCGSD is proud to bring you some fun and light-hearted instagram livestreams by staff and volunteers, to bring a little joy to your screens in a somewhat dark time. This past Friday, staff members Eliot and Janani tuned in for a couple of hours with a Coffee and Chat livestream, which brought about some stimulating discussions on a variety of topics, such as sex education, self care, ability and accessibility during Covid-19, and even Netflix shows like Tiger King. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
This Friday at 1pm EST, we have a lovely volunteer and previous education coordinator, Sabrina Kayed, reading and discussing some of her favourite queer and BIPOC inclusive children’s books. We really hope you join her in winding down your afternoon with some light and fun, but important literature.
Next Friday, the 24th of April, we will be hosting a Q&A with some members of staff where you can ask us questions about the CCGSD, our work, our activism, our goals and projects, as well as more personal questions about us and identities. We hope this will be a great opportunity for you to get to know our organization and our goals for the upcoming year!
Stay tuned for more livestreams throughout the month of May as well. We’re also hoping to create some Webinars to administer to anyone who is interested! E-Learning Opportunities may be public, or delivered to your classroom or organization privately. For inquiries for E-Learning opportunities, or if you have any suggestions for any livestreams you would like to see from the CCGSD, email email@example.com.
We hope that everyone is staying safe and being responsible during this time. We’re looking forward to bringing you content virtually until we can be back in classrooms again.
