Board of Directors, Director

Ottawa, Ontario

Gina (she/elle/ona) is a white, cis, queer, neuro-atypical woman and a refugee from former Yugoslavia with professional and academic backgrounds in international development and humanitarian sectors, gender equality, inclusion, migration, and organizational development. She is committed to continuously learning how to do life, work and feminism in intersectional and decolonial ways. Her formal training includes environmental studies, international development, sociology, feminist and gender studies.

Gina is passionate about transnational solidarity that embraces differences, especially amongst people with marginalized genders and sexualities. Her academic work involves the politics and messiness of representation and inclusion efforts in INGOs, and her professional work is in technical guidance in gender equality and inclusion in a communication/media for development INGO called Farm Radio International. She likes to spend her time lint rolling all of her clothes after playing with her husky-mix pup, Žužu. Also eating.
