The Educational Coordinators will be responsible for working with a team of volunteer educators and will report to the Educational Manager. Team Education is responsible for booking and presenting anti-homophobia and transphobia workshops in schools in the Ottawa Valley, as well as coordinating outreach at community events.
The Coordinators will be expected to work out of the Jer’s Vision office, 440 Albert St. and to travel to various schools across the Ottawa Valley. This is a part time position of two 8 hour days per week, culminating into 64 hours per month. Salary negotiable.
Ideal start date is: May 1st-June 30th, with the possibility of employment through July and August and then reassuming regular hours in September.
The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and French and have a passion for social justice and a strong understanding of the LGBTQ+ communities. The ideal candidate must also self identify as a “youth”. Prior work experience and education are an asset, but not required. We encourage diverse individuals to apply for this position.
