The Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity is looking for some team education volunteers! We are looking for individuals who are passionate about education and LGBTQ+ issues. The commitment expected for this volunteer position is 1 workshop a week (about 2 hrs, sometimes more or less). These workshops will usually be between 8am-4pm (school hours). Volunteers might be asked on rare occasions if they can help facilitate workshops outside of these hours. Most of the workshops will be held in schools in the Ottawa region, however we also do workshops with educators and members of the community.
Please note that in addition to doing workshops, volunteers will also be helping us reach out to schools, via emails and phone calls, to book workshops.
Team education will also be having monthly meetings for training and debriefing purposes!
Being francophone or bilingual is not required but is an asset.
Workshop facilitation is not required but is an asset.
Applicants should self-identify as youth.
