Trans Day of Visibility

This year, we are proud to celebrate Trans Day of Visibility.

Trans Day of Visibility is an annual event celebrating trans and gender variant people. Many it as a crucial day to raise awareness about the discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide. It was founded by US-based trans activist Rachel Crandall in 2009 as a reaction to the lack of LGBTQ events recognizing trans persons and citied their frustration that  the only well-known trans-centered holiday is the Trans Day of Remembrance which mourns the loss of trans people to hate crimes.

Today, take a moment to celebrate trans heroes, activists and community builders!
