Trans Day of Remembrance (TDOR), Nov 20, is the international day to memorialize those who were lost due to cis-sexism (transphobia & transmisogyny). Starting in 1998, the event began to remember Rita Hester who was murdered & who’s case has yet to be solved.
“At the Canadian Centre for Gender & Sexual Diversity Trans Day of Remembrance is a day to reflect, remember and renew our commitment to the Trans & Gender Non-Binary communities,” says director Jeremy Dias. “To mark TDOR, our teams will be participating in a variety of community vigils and educational opportunities.”
