For the final time this year, Team Education visited the life skills classroom of Jackie Coolican from Richard Pfaff Alternate. For every batch of students this past year, we have been able to present a workshop and today, we were even proceeded by a student-lead presentation on diverse gender/sexual identities. Tamara and Cameron had a great time presenting, with conversation touching upon conflict between sexuality and peoples identities, the history of the pink triangle, pronouns, and understanding sexuality/gender as spectrum’s. We also worked to train our new volunteer from Algonquin Katie, who will be accompanying Cameron next week to run two GRIS workshops. Overall, we have a great time presenting to such an open and critical group, some of whom even joined the presenters for a photo.
