Last week Team Education visited Longfield Davidson Heights Secondary School and gave anti-homophobia and anti-transphobia diversity workshops to four grade nine physical education classes, as well as a small group workshop at Elizabeth Wyn Wood Alternative School.
At both schools, the students and staff were so welcoming and open to dialogue, so we would like to extend a huge thank you to them. Here’s a look at some of the feedback that we received.
“I liked the buttons and other swag that they gave us! They were also very detailed and explained queerphobia and transphobia very nicely.”
“It was great! While I knew about the sexualities, it was nice to learn about different genders. Thanks!”
“I’ve learned much more about discrimination and some of the less talked about forms of oppression.”
“I have two moms and I loved this workshop :)”

Fun fact! We were both so shocked when we showed up to a workshop in matching outfits that we just had to take a picture to show you!
