On Wednesday, March 5th, Cameron and Hannah went to Glebe Collegiate to present a GRIS workshop to a grade 9 gym class and a Consent and Boundaries workshop to a grade health class. We had a great time presenting and would like to thank Emily Grant for inviting us to Glebe. In the GRIS workshop, we covered gender policing, coming out, queer rights around the world and internalized homophobia. We answered some great questions and then prepared for our next workshop! The consent and boundaries workshop was created by Hannah and I for the purpose of fighting against rape culture in schools. The presentations covered types of boundaries, issues of consent, healthy relationships, power dynamics and sex positivity. We had a great time presenting the final workshop and it was very well received by students!
