Support the CCGSD through the United Way

Dear Friends,

The Government of Canada’s annual Workplace Charitable Campaign (GCWCC) is getting underway, and I want to ask you to consider supporting the Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity (CCGSD) by directing all or a portion of your donation to this young and dynamic organization that is doing much needed work to better the future of the LGBTQ+ community.

Directing your donation is easy.
Simply make note of the Centre for Gender & Sexual Diveristy name & charitable number: 863207981RR0001

When I think back to my time in school and how difficult it was at times, I really can appreciate the important work that the Centre does.

Over the last 14 years, I have seen the Centre for Gender & Sexual Diversity grow. The CCGSD is fighting for LGBTQ+ rights & legislation through the Pink Agenda, supporting over 250,000 youth through more than 40 of its forums, creating a national conversation with its LGBTQ2S+ Service Providers Network, and creating local change with its Proud City Campaign that highlights businesses and community organizations that seek to create inclusion and respect for LGBTTQ+ people.

And that’s not even taking into account that every day of the year the Centre is leading workshops and presentations on bullying, discrimination, and hate all across Canada and organizing its educators conference in addition to sports and theatre and visual arts programming.
Talk about diversity!

Take a moment to watch the moving testimonials by young people from across Canada, you can see them on the Centre’s YouTube Page here, or consider getting involved as a volunteer!

And as a CWCC campaign champion, I know how easy and convenient it is to support local organizations through the campaign. And directing your pledge means you can decide exactly which causes or organizations you want to support.
I encourage you to consider directing all or part of your pledge this year to the CCGSD as I have done.

Yours truly,

Matthew Ball
