This week Shannon and Mel visited Canterbury High School to speak with the grade 9 phys ed students about homophobia and bullying. They had a great time, the students and teachers were super welcoming and had great discussions!
Here’s what some students had to say:
“I really enjoyed the presentation that you gave at our school. It really made me think about how despite how far the world has come in the way of accepting queer people we still have so much farther to go. Thank you so much for talking to us and getting us to really consider how we treat our peers. Thanks!!!!”
“Your presentation showed me ways to be more respectufl and understanding, but as well it taught me more about different sexualities. I also really enjoyed hearing your stories? Thanks so much for coming into my class and talking to us!”
