My name is Kai and I am so excited to be organizing the CCGSD’s Canadian National Youth Forum & Conversation on Sexually Transmitted & Blood-Borne Infections (STBBIs)!
This is a 5-day youth forum that engages students from all across Canada (ages 14-18) on the topic of STBBIs, sexual health, harm reduction and youth leadership! Together, we will look at things like sexual health and what it means for different folks, stigma and its impact in our society, as well as how politics and public health are intertwined. The goal of this week is simple: to educate youth to take their health into their own hands and to become Ambassadors, who will share their knowledge and engage their fellow peers on difficult conversations with fun activities and initiatives in their schools! This is a 100% free event for youth, and will be taking place in Ottawa from December 1st-5th.
This is a phenomenal opportunity for students who want to make a difference in their communities, or are interested in the sciences and social sciences classes, or are interested in pursuing a career as a doctor, nurse or social worker! For more information, and the application, please see our webpage here!
If you are a student and are interested in attending, OR if you are a teacher/guidance counsellor/school administrator/youth worker that knows of students who would be interested in this program, please do not hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 613-400-1875.
I look forward to hearing from you soon!
