New Trans Rights Bill Passed

Last night Canada took a large step forward towards ending transphobia. Bill-C279, the bill to add gender identity and gender expression to The Charter of Rights and Freedoms, passed through The House of Commons and is now on it’s way to The Senate. Community members, activists, MP’s, and Jer’s Vision Team members Hannah, Zoe (pictured here), and Ryan all gathered in the Parliament Resturaunt right after the vote to chat, cheer, and celebrate. Now we’ve got to cross our fingers and work towards informing our Senators why protecting our trans and non-binary citizens is so important.
