Role Overview 

Jer’s Vision is seeking a Community Relations Coordinator (CRC) with experience as a fundraiser and event planner.  Prior work experience, education, and working with LGBTQ+ communities are an asset, but not required. The CRC will be the lead coordinator of two galas, one in Toronto and one in Ottawa. The CRC will be responsible for the fundraising of the organization, maintaining and building monthly donor lists, and coordinating the corporate sponsorship for the aforementioned galas. Furthermore, the CRC will coordinate the Day of Pink anti-bullying campaign, ensuring anti-bullying resources and supplies (kits, buttons, posters) are sent out across Canada, and working with community partners to increase participation.

The Community Relations Coordinator reports to Jer’s Vision Senior Management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Outreach to businesses, unions, and other organizations for sponsorship
  • Coordinate the Day of Pink Gala
  • Coordinate the 10th Anniversary Gala
  • Coordinate the national Day of Pink campaign
  • Implement outreach strategies to recruit new donors
  • Coordinate outreach to new partners for the Day of Pink


  • Overseeing and evaluating the performance of select Jer’s Vision volunteers
  • Overseeing volunteers and office interns in compiling evaluation reports into database
