Today, April 17th, Cameron and Hannah were workshop presenters at the 2014 JH Putman Wellness Day. The event featured a day of workshops in topics such as anti-bullying/diversity, yoga and self-care. Team Education presented 4 Junior Gris workshops and challenged youth from grades 5-8 about racism, sexism and homophobia. They explored issues of representation and whitewashing in the media, fielded questions about the representation of Male and Female heroes and discussed sexuality. While there, Cameron and Hannah were presented with a donation for over $400 to Jer’s Vision, raised during the school’s Day of Pink activities. Jer’s vision would would like to thank Mrs. Doig and JH Putman for the generous donation and inviting us to participate in their Wellness Day.
