- GSAs and the School Board
- Ignite Your Power To Make Change
- Queer History
- So, You Have A GSA, Now What?
- The LGBT Community & Anti-Bullying
- The Power of Words
- Trans 101: Transform Your School!
We would like to thank all our partners and sponsors who helped make this event a success, such as Cape Breton Victoria Regional School Board, Riverview Rural High School, Pride Cape Breton, Addiction Services Cape Breton, AIDS Coalition of Cape Breton, The Youth Project, Crystal Sampson, Karen Finnigan, Peter Steele, Serena Matheson, Kenzie Legere, Madonna Doucette, and Matthew Campbell.
Comments from students:
“From the atmosphere to the interaction between participants, everything was a positive, happy, learning, experience for all who attended. The facilitators did an excellent job on getting students pumped up for battling homophobia.”
“I learned history, and ways to make a change, to get involved too. I will use this by spreading the word. The more people who know, the less they will be negative.”
“Thanks to everyone including the youth like me, for accepting me and giving that small ounce of courage to speak for myself. Though my eyes were to the floor, my heart was to the moon and back.“
