Thursday and Friday, Shannon and Mel visited Colonel By to speak to students about bullying, homophobia and queer issues. They also met with SAFE (Students Advocating For Equality) who are planning terrific events to promote equality and respect in their school. Keep up the good work guys!
One student’s response to the presentation:
“I liked how we discuessed the definitions of the Queer Alphabet, it helped clarity, and made us understand more about the meanings behind some new words.
Overall this discussion was very well done and the whole thing felt comfortable to everyone. The jokes were funny too.”
