Jer's Vision is saddened by suspected hate crime in Gatineau

Jer’s Vision sends its best wishes to the victim of this terrible crime. It is truly shocking that in 2014, we still see crimes like this in our communities. To us, this reaffirms the important of promoting diversity and inclusion. There is one message we are taking away from this: We still have far to go. We are fortunate to live in a country that supports diversity, but hate crimes still occur, and discrimination still happens all too often. This tells us that we need to continue to support diversity education and training in our schools, communities and workplaces. I would encourage all to get involved, by educating themselves, and by supporting the work of organization that spread the message of acceptance and diversity.

Jer’s Vision spoke with CBC Radio on Tuesday to discuss this horrific event.
