Position Title: PFLAG Coordinators (part-time)


Position Objective:  This person will be responsible for the overall programming and fundraising of PFLAG. Tasks will include communicating and supporting chapters, fundraising, and training.

This is a part-time position, with possibility for full-time opportunities in the future. Salary will be determined based on qualifications.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Report to the Director with any tasks required to execute programming
  • Outreach to chapters and partner organizations
  • Fundraise for the organization
  • Manage day-to-day operations (phone, emails…)
  • Training for chapters
  • Be a spokes person for PFLAG Canada, & the Day of Pink

    • Recognizing the need for change for example by making changes to existing work processes and procedures. Working comfortably with diverse individuals and groups in a variety of situations

    • Plans, implements, evaluate and adjusts goals, objectives and courses of action to meet the needs of the organization
  • Resource and Fiscal Management
    • Using human, physical, and financial resources effectively and economically
    • Knowledge of Quickbooks
  • Leadership
    • Positively influencing people and events through actions, interventions, and relationships
    • Active listening skills
    • Analytical abilities 


  • At least one year experience planning, organizing, and executing  events
  • Familiarity with working with youth in schools
  • Familiarity with youth friendly organizations
  • Familiartity with diverse & LGBTQ communities
  • Relevant degree or diploma an asset
  • General computer skills, including knowledge working with Microsoft Office and Google Docs
