Guelph celebrates diversity, trans awareness, and anti-racism at the 2014 Rainbow Coalition Conference!

On April 24, 2014, students from all around southern Ontario gathered in Guelph to attend the Rainbow Coalition Conference hosted by Jer’s Vision and the Upper Grand District School Board.

The keynote speaker was Jer’s Vision’s Lukayo Estrella, who incorporated poetry, comedy, and storytelling to discuss issues involving racism, transphobia, and life-after-bullying.

Workshops included topics such as queer history, queer characters in the media, sexual health, resources for trans people, and discussions about lesser known sexualities and gender identities.
