Dare to Stand Out is a series of national conferences, brought to you by Jer’s Vision, that work with youth to address issues surrounding homophobia and transphobia in their schools and communities. The best part is that participants will walk away with tools and resources to take back to their schools and communities.

Dare to Stand Out: Creating Accepting Communities is an event for the youth of Grande Prairie, Alberta, made in partnership with HIV North. Held at Grande Praire Regional College, this conference will run from 9am to 3:30pm.

This event will feature Cara Jones and Jeremy Dias.

Workshops include:

  • Healthy Relationships
  • Helping Friends Who Are Depressed
  • Starting & Running a Gender & Sexuality Alliance or Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA)
  • Stress Management
  • Leadership Skills
  • Gender & Sexual Diversity
