April 8th, 2015 – Ottawa
Jer’s Vision will host our 10th annual #DayofPink Gala at De La Salle Secondary School from 6:30-9:30PM.
The Gala is a three hour event featuring a reception and an award ceremony. At the award ceremony, we will give out three Youth Role Model of the Year Awards to leaders from across Canada who have gone above and beyond in the fight against bullying and discrimination. Past recipients include Rick Mercer, Jack Layton and Stephen Lewis.
Last year, we were joined by more than 4 dozen elected representatives from all levels of government, alongside business executives, non-profit directors, ambassadors and community leaders.
The gala is a free event. Our goal with the Gala is not to raise money, but to build community and celebrate the success of Jer’s Vision over the past year. As this is our 10th anniversary, this year’s Day of Pink Gala is particularly significant.
There will be hors d’oeuvres provided free of charge, and beverages will be available through a cash bar. We will also have a raffle and silent auction to help raise funds for the gala.
Our VIPink guests will be provided free beverages throughout the night, priority seating during the award ceremony, and will have their name added to the VIPink exclusive raffle.
Jer’s Vision is always focused on our work in schools. As such, we are proud to announce that this event is a zero-budget event, with any profits made funneled directly into our programming across Canada.
This event will be wheelchair accessible.
Recommended dresscode: Semi-formal.
