Dare to Stand Out: Alberta marked the province’s first middle school anti-bulling conference! Over 250 students collaborated with over a dozen community organization to learn about bullying, homophobia, transphobia and diversity, and their role in making schools safer.
“It was life changing” said one student. “I really loved learning about 2-spirit people in my community. I also realized how my actions can hurt people when I say inappropriate things or disrepectful things.”
This week, JersVision.org will continue to run workshops across central Alberta before the Dare to Stand Out: Nova Scotia (in Sydney).
