Coming out of the Nkuta: a documentary of LGBT rights in Cameroon

Jer’s Vision is proud to promote and event by our partners the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the Canadian Museum for Human Rights & Amnesty International: Coming out of the Nkuta: a documentary of LGBT rights in Cameroon. The films follows Alice Nkom a human rights lawyer in Cameroon.

This FREE film screening is a great way to celebrate diversity & educate yourself on people in other places! The event will include a letter writing campaign for Jean-Claude Roger Mbded, a 31 year old Cameroonian student who was recently jailed for “homosexuality and attempted homosexuality”. His crime: a text message he sent to a date.

Come out on Saturday, December 10th, 2011 at 4:15pm at the Mayfair Theatre (1074 Bank St).
