It is my pleasure to invite you to the Jer’s Vision/Day of Pink Gala on April 11th, 2012 at 6:30pm at Tabaret Hall, at the University of Ottawa (75 Laurier Av E).
The event will bring together over 500 celebrities, politicians, community members, and youth to celebrate the work of people working in schools and communities to stop bullying, homophobia, transphobia, and discrimination of all kinds.
In addition to incredible appetizers and inspiring performances, the event will also confer the Youth Role Model of the Year award to three amazing people who made our communities safer and better.
We are proud to announce that the 2012 recipients will be: Rick Mercer for his work in raising awareness; Jack Layton (posthumous) for his work in advance human rights; and a surprise award winner.
Also, I hope you will join us in wearing pink on the international Day of Pink, April 11, 2012, and show your community that you stand against bullying of all kinds. Please check out DayOfPink.org for free resources and tools.
I also encourage you to support the work we do by becoming a monthly donor; every $1.25 you donate educates one youth in our community.
Thank you & see you at our gala!
