The Canadian Centre for Gender and Sexual Diversity is proud to present a night of LGBTQ2S+ Sensitivity Training in partnership with the Brockville Public Library. This free event will be focused on understanding the rights, language, needs, and policies around LGBTQ2S+ individuals in your community. Through open community discussion, we aim to teach attendees small things that they may do in their workplace and/or schools to be inclusive to everyone around them.
This event is open to everyone from teachers, to service providers, to youth. We will begin at 6pm on March 29 at the Brockville Public Library (23 Buell St. Brockville, ON, K6V 5T7).
5:30pm: Doors Open (Tea, Coffee, Snacks)
6:00pm: Anti-Oppression (Racism, Sexism, and Classism)
6:45pm: LGBTQ2S+ 101 (Terminology and Understanding)
7:30pm: Best Practices for Teachers and Service Providers to Support LGBTQ2S+ Youth and Families
