For the International Day of Pink so many workplaces went PINK. Please check out a story from our friends at Jazz Aviation about their Day of Pink.
At Jazz, we take great pride in our diversity and strive to celebrate it throughout the year in an effort to create inclusive spaces where employees can be their authentic selves. We joined the pink movement in 2015 and were proud to “go pink” again this year. Jazz employees all across Canada were united in a stand against bullying by wearing a pin that we created to personalize the message in support of the International Day of Pink. We also created a poster, ally pamphlets, an online ally pledge form and an ally positive space card. Employees that signed the pledge received an information package on how to be an active ally, along with the ally card. We also created a form “I will become more pink by…” for employees to write out a personal action plan, to put their pink into action. In some of our locations, wall space was dedicated to messages of kindness whereby employees were encouraged to write and post messages of kindness to their coworkers on pink post-it notes. We tapped into social media with our hashtag #jazzgoespink. Of course, there were also delicious pink treats to enjoy! On the Day of Pink and every day, Jazz pledges to stand against bullying.
